About Sonja

Your AI Trainer, Consultant and Coach. I've always been the systems and compliance person: hand me new tech or show me a process problem, I figure it out, then teach everyone else.

I spent 22 years in a corporate career - healthcare, recruitment and finance – before I left to run my own business, now in its 10th year!

I’ve also written a book called Mr & Mrs Business and hosted the Her Money Her Business podcast, both focussed on helping women manage the financials in their business.

When AI arrived, I saw both the huge potential and the compliance risks for women founders. I spent months learning, building and testing it in my own business first - because it's not plug-and-play. It requires specific steps and setup to get AI to understand you and the way your business works.

I've been my own boss for 10 years this year (2026). Can't go back now - I'm stuck with me!

I've always wanted to be my own boss but I got sidetracked by a corporate career for 22 years.

My first business was an ironing business for the local Mum's while in high school.

I'm a self-confessed

celebrity spotter.

Happens everywhere I go.

My most famous spotting was Olivia Newton-John at the baggage claim at LA airport.

I'm a coffee snob - no instant coffee for me.

Have been known to take my coffee machine on holidays.

But I can only handle 1 coffee per day!

I had my first daughter at 42 via IVF and my second at 43 (a nice surprise!).

They were 1 and 2 when I started my business.

Raising babies and starting a business was a challenge but now I'm prepared for anything!
